Polylactic acid is a biomass plastic made from starch and sugar produced by plants, and is a biodegradable plastic that is decomposed by microorganisms in a well-conditioned environment. Since it is an aliphatic polyester resin with a polymerized structure of lactic acid and is a crystalline thermoplastic, it can be molded into various shapes by melt extrusion, injection molding, or foam molding.
